      Container is a group tool that can be used to load packaged or unpacked goods for transportation and facilitate loading, unloading and handling of mechanical equipment.
The greatest success of containers lies in the standardization of their products and the establishment of a complete transportation system. It is indeed one of the great miracles in the history created by mankind that a giant with a load of tens of tons can standardize and gradually realize the logistics system that supports ships, ports, routes, highways, transit stations, bridges, tunnels and multimodal transport all over the world.
      Container transport is an important transport mode in multimodal transport. Because container transportation has the advantages of high standardization, good sealing, low damage rate, intensive, large area, liner, low cost, and good quality, it greatly improves the safety and efficiency of cargo transportation. At present, international organizations responsible for formulating cargo container standards include the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Among them, IMO, through its Freight and Container Transport Subcommittee (CCC Subcommittee), mainly formulates maritime container safety rules and issues them in the form of IMO documents. ISO freight container standard is responsible for ISO/TC104 International Container Standardization Technology · Standard Application Research · Committee. These standards include industry standards, transportation standards and basic standards.
In the initial stage of container transportation, the structure and specifications of containers are different, which affects the international circulation of containers. There is an urgent need to formulate international general standards for containers in order to promote the development of container transport. Container standardization can not only improve the universality and interchangeability of containers as sea, land and air transport units, but also improve the security and economy of container transport and promote the development of international container multimodal transport. At the same time, the standardization of containers also provides a basis for the selection, design and manufacture of container transport tools and handling machinery, thus making container transport an interconnected, professional and efficient transport system. Container standards are divided into international standards, national standards, regional standards and company standards according to the scope of use.
It refers to the international standard container built and used according to the international standards formulated by Technical Committee 104 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Container standardization has gone through a development process. Since the establishment of ISO/TC104 Technical Committee in 1961, the International Organization for Standardization has made many additions, additions, deletions and modifications to international standards for containers. The current international standard is the first of 13 series, with unified width (2438mm), four lengths (12192mm, 9125mm, 6058mm, 2991mm) and three heights (2896mm, 2591mm, 2438mm).
The maximum length, width and height inside the container. The height is the distance from the surface of the box bottom plate to the bottom of the box top plate, the width is the distance between two lining plates, and the length is the distance between the box door lining plate and the end wall lining plate. It determines the internal volume of the container and the maximum size of the cargo in the container.
DRYCONTAINER commonly used internationally includes:
1. The overall dimension is 20x8x8ft 6in, which is called 20ft container (inner diameter: 5898 * 2352 * 2390mm);
2.40x8x8ft 6in, short 40ft container (inner diameter: 12024 * 2352 * 2390mm);
And 40x8x9ft 6in, commonly used, 40ft high cabinets.
The length is 11.8x2.34x2.68m. The gross weight of goods is generally 26 tons, and the volume is 68 cubic meters
45 foot high cabinet: the volume of contents is 13.58 × two point three four × 2.68 meters, the gross weight of goods is generally 29 tons, and the volume is 86 cubic meters
20 'open top cabinet: the volume of contents is 5.89 × two point three two × 2.31m, gross weight of goods is 20t, volume is 31.5m3
40 'open top cabinet: the volume of contents is 12.01x2.33x2.15 meters, the gross weight of goods is 30.4 tons, and the volume is 65 cubic meters
20ft flat bottom container: volume 5.85x2.23x2.15m, gross weight 23t, volume 28m3
40 'flat bottom container: volume 12.05x2.12x1.96m, gross weight 36t, volume 50m3
